Overview

The Women’s Health and Menopause (WHAM) course provides a comprehensive curriculum for providers to gain expertise in the care of perimenopausal and menopausal women from national and international experts in the field, addressing topics only superficially covered in other courses. WHAM provides detailed evidence-base instruction in the science of menopause, menopausal hormone therapy, women’s sexual health, women’s cardiovascular health, lifestyle medicine for women, the effect of estrogen on the brain, testosterone therapy in women, and the effect of hormones throughout a women’s body during her lifespan. We do not shy away from discussing cutting edge, controversial and off-label uses of hormone therapy to equip providers for the many questions that arise from the 50 million menopausal women in the United States that currently have only partial answers. WHAM 2026 will feature an expanded curriculum with a module on an evidence-based approach to integrative medicine, the musculoskeletal syndrome of menopause and complexities in the care of women at risk for or living as breast cancer survivors.

Our goal is to enhance your professional expertise in the comprehensive care of women, and the optimal care of women in menopause. This course will improve your confidence and competence as a women’s health clinician and guide you to improved clinical strategies for caring for women. The faculty has been selected from the most experienced clinical educators of Harvard Medical School and its affiliated hospitals, and the top nationally and internationally recognized guest faculty who are renowned in women’s healthcare. In addition to our in-person learning option, the conference is available as a live-streaming and recorded program for synchronous and asynchronous learning. Our virtual learning technical support team will provide outstanding images and sound quality. Presentations are focused, lively, and many are case based.

The format for the Women’s Health and Menopause course consists of morning and afternoon lecture sessions, Monday through Friday. With concurrent sessions in the afternoons. Each lecture is 45 minutes in length with another 10 minutes for a supervised question and answer session. A bonus video library is available with content to supplement the main program.

2.
