1. Overview
The Cedars Sinai Transcranial Doppler Building Interpretation Skills course provides focused, practical training on the application and interpretation of Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound. The program is designed to enhance clinicians’ proficiency in evaluating waveform data, monitoring cerebrovascular hemodynamics, and diagnosing related neurological conditions.
2. Learning Objectives
Understand the anatomy, vessels, landmarks, and collateral pathways of the Circle of Willis
Interpret 100 supervised case studies in a variety of TCD applications
Develop an awareness of waveform morphology in normal and diseased states
Improved reporting skills including appropriate terminology
Better understand the many applications of transcranial Doppler for inpatient and outpatient use
Identify opportunities for interprofessional collaboration with members of the team that interpret transcranial Doppler studies
