Program Overview Day 1: The 6th Annual Pediatric Liver Disease and Transplantation

The overall goals of the activity is to learn about commonly encountered liver disease in children and  understand the causes, signs, symptoms, risk factors, screening, as well as, innovative approaches to treatment and long-term management. The format of this program will consist of lectures and interactive discussions based on the overall goal of pediatric liver disease and transplantation.

Explain Metabolic disorders and their implications for pediatric liver transplantation.

Program Overview Day 2: The Third Annual Advances in the Management of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Multidisciplinary Approach

The Third Annual Advances in the Management of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Multidisciplinary Approach will be broken down into (3) sessions focusing on; screening, surveillance & evolving epidemiology to current treatments as well as a look to the future, evolving interventional options and a comprehensive understanding of transplant for the HCC patient. The format will consist of expert didactic lectures, case presentations, panel discussion with interactive audience Q&A.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the recent changes in epidemiology of HCC and adjustments in screening and surveillance guidelines.

Identify systemic chemotherapy, non-transplant surgical options, and patient management.

Explain the most up-to-date oncology management of HCC including recent advances in immunotherapy

Target Audience

This program has been designed oncology providers, including surgeons, physicians, fellows, residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who manage patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) across various clinical specialties including; general & transplant surgery, oncology, immunology, pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, neuroscience & radiology.
