Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, learners will be able to:

Apply the current W.H.O. criteria for morphological, immunohistochemical and molecular diagnostic classification of cervical and vulvar epithelial tumors, mesenchymal tumors, and their non-neoplastic mimics.

Assign the current FIGO staging criteria for cervical and vulvar carcinomas as well as the alternative Silva pattern of invasiveness for cervical adenocarcinoma.

Classify non-neoplastic inflammatory and melanocytic disorders of the vulva.

Diagnose exfoliative cytologic specimens of the cervix using current Bethesda system guidelines as well as pelvic fluid cytology specimens.
